Vuodenaikojen mukaan vaihtuva ruoka on pohjoismaista höystettynä ripauksella ranskalaista keittiötä, saaristoa unohtamatta. Saaristokulttuuri onkin Hermanissa jatkuvan inspiraation lähde ja tämä näkyy ruokalistalla muun muassa karitsan ja kalan muodossa. Kesällä taas on mukava pistäytyä aurajoen rannan terassilla ja maistaa panimon omia oluita. Hermanin omassa panimossa valmistetaan viittä eri olutlaatua, joista saatavilla on aina kahta. Kesällä voi virkistäytyä esimerkiksi vehnäoluella ja talvella lämmitellä tumman oluen voimalla.

For the past ten years Restaurant Herman by the River Aurajoki has been a persistent defender of old restaurant customs stemming from the deep history of European tradition. Herman is a combination of pleasant atmosphere and classic style. The picture is completed by our professional waiting staff who take pride in their work as they glide between the tables covered with white tablecloths. Here class stands not only for tradition and style but also pleasure in being here. Appreciating the long history of the old building is an important facet of our business ideology. It is fitting that the conserved building accommodates a classy, high quality restaurant such as Herman’s; a place you can trust, whether dining alone, with relatives or business associates, time after time.
Our seasonally changing menu represents Scandinavian style with a hint of French cuisine, not forgetting a taste of the archipelago which is a constant source of inspiration for Herman. The cultural influence of the archipelago can be seen for example in the fish and lamb dishes on our menu. In the summer, our terrace by the river is the perfect spot for enjoying a taste of beer, brewed on the premises, of course! Herman’s brewery makes five different beers with two always available at any one time. In hot weather perhaps refresh yourself with wheat beer and in the winter try warming up with a dark beer.
